This is one of the very few outcrops of Cambrian sandstone in northeastern Wisconsin. The sandstone is beneath the south bank of the Peshtigo River below the dam and is only visible from the catwalk in front of the dam or from the opposite bank. However, there is no easy access to the opposite bank. |
